- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 package of pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine the mixed berries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface and cut it into shapes.
- Place a spoonful of the berry mixture onto one half of each pie shape and seal the edges.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and milk, then bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Let the hand pies cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
