Description

A delightful dessert combining creamy cheesecake with fresh strawberries, all in a simple baked format.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Colorful Easter sprinkles (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Combine sliced strawberries with a tablespoon of sugar and set aside.
  3. Mix the softened cream cheese with the remaining sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture and blend until well combined.
  5. Pour the melted butter into the greased baking dish, followed by the yellow cake mix, spreading it evenly.
  6. Layer the cream cheese mixture over the cake mix evenly.
  7. Spread the sugared strawberries across the cream cheese layer.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until golden and set.
  9. Let the cake cool in the pan and garnish with colorful sprinkles.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature, great with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
