- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Colorful Easter sprinkles (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Combine sliced strawberries with a tablespoon of sugar and set aside.
- Mix the softened cream cheese with the remaining sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture and blend until well combined.
- Pour the melted butter into the greased baking dish, followed by the yellow cake mix, spreading it evenly.
- Layer the cream cheese mixture over the cake mix evenly.
- Spread the sugared strawberries across the cream cheese layer.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until golden and set.
- Let the cake cool in the pan and garnish with colorful sprinkles.
