Description
Delightful cookies combining the rich flavors of eggnog with the sweetness of white chocolate, perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup eggnog
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, ground nutmeg, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until creamy and smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, incorporating it along with the eggnog until well-combined. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, ensuring space for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until smooth. Dip half of each cookie in the melted white chocolate, then place them back on the parchment paper to set.
