- 2 cups chopped apples
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, stirring until well combined. Fold in the chopped apples and walnuts.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each dollop. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
