Description

A delightful dessert with a crisp outer shell and a soft interior, paired beautifully with tropical pineapple and tart passion fruit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • 2 passion fruits, pulp scooped out

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the egg whites in a clean bowl until soft peaks form, then gradually add granulated sugar until glossy and stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in vanilla extract, vinegar, and cornstarch. Shape meringue into a 9-inch round on the baking sheet and bake for about 1 hour.
  4. Turn off the oven and let the pavlova cool inside without opening the door.
  5. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form, then spread the whipped cream over the cooled pavlova, adding pineapple and passion fruit on top.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, without the whipped cream and fruit topping until serving.
