Description

A comforting and hearty Tuna Pasta Bake that combines creamy melted cheese with pasta and tuna for a delicious family meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 300g pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 1 can tuna in oil or water, drained
  • 1 can sweet corn, drained
  • 400g can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200g cheese (cheddar or mozzarella), grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, sautéed onion and garlic, tuna, sweet corn, and chopped tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spoon the mixture into a baking dish and top with grated cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

For flavor variations, consider adding red bell peppers or spinach. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
