Description

Ingredients

  • 4 bell peppers
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds and membranes.
  3. In a skillet, cook the chopped onion and minced garlic until soft.
  4. Add ground meat and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in rice, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Stuff each pepper with the rice mixture.
  7. Place peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Remove foil, add cheese if using, and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  10. Serve hot.
