Description

Soft and chewy cookies bursting with fresh strawberry flavor, topped with a dollop of whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • ½ cup whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter in another bowl until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
  5. Drop dollops of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden.
  6. Cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm with whipped cream on top.

Notes

For best results, use fresh strawberries and ensure butter is softened but not melted. Consider adding lemon zest for extra flavor.
