Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • ½ cup whipped cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl and set aside.
  3. Cream the softened butter in another bowl until smooth; then add the egg and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined, then fold in the chopped strawberries.
  5. Drop dollops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, ensuring space between each cookie. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  6. Cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm topped with whipped cream.
