Description
A delicious and refreshing dessert that combines the creaminess of cottage cheese with fresh strawberries, offering a healthier alternative to traditional ice cream.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk or cream
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the cottage cheese, strawberries, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, milk (or cream), and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if necessary. If you prefer a sweeter ice cream, add a little more honey or syrup, blending again until fully incorporated.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container. Smooth the top with a spatula for even freezing, then cover with a lid or plastic wrap.
- Freeze the container for at least 4 hours or until it’s firm. Before serving, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly. Scoop and enjoy your homemade strawberry cottage cheese ice cream!
