Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup diced strawberries
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the milk and mix until just combined.
  5. Create small balls of dough and flatten them slightly in your hand.
  6. Mix diced strawberries with cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  7. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough ball and fold to seal.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
