- 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 cup canned artichoke hearts, chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 package phyllo pastry sheets or puff pastry
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine thawed spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until creamy.
- Lay out the phyllo or puff pastry, cut into squares about 3×3 inches.
- Place a spoonful of the spinach artichoke mixture in each pastry square, fold over, and seal the edges.
- Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm.
Notes
For a healthier version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream or mayonnaise. Ensure spinach is thoroughly drained. You can also experiment with different cheeses.
