Description

Delightful appetizer blending rich, creamy flavors with a satisfying crunch, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup canned artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 package phyllo pastry sheets or puff pastry

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine thawed spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until creamy.
  3. Lay out the phyllo or puff pastry, cut into squares about 3×3 inches.
  4. Place a spoonful of the spinach artichoke mixture in each pastry square, fold over, and seal the edges.
  5. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

For a healthier version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream or mayonnaise. Ensure spinach is thoroughly drained. You can also experiment with different cheeses.
