Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and white sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients mixture into the creamed mixture until just combined.
  6. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place them on ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Flatten each ball with a glass and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  8. For the frosting, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and add food coloring if desired.
  9. Once the cookies are cool, frost them generously and let them set.
