Description
A delightful fusion of hearty smash burgers and crispy taco shells, topped with a sweet caramel dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 taco shells
- 1 cup cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup lettuce (shredded)
- 1 cup tomatoes (chopped)
- 1/2 cup onions (diced)
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup whipped cream
Instructions
- Begin by preparing the ground beef. Form it into equal-sized balls—about the size of a golf ball. Heat up your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Smash the beef balls down with a spatula to create patties that are about ½-inch thick. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are well browned and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, warm the taco shells in the oven according to the package instructions for about 5 minutes until they are pliable.
- Once the patties are ready, carefully place each burger patty into a taco shell. Top with your desired amount of cheese, lettuce, chopped tomatoes, diced onions, and condiments like ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.
- For the dessert, simply drizzle caramel sauce generously over whipped cream in individual bowls or on top of your favorite dessert and serve on the side.
Notes
Use 80/20 ground beef for the best flavor and juiciness. Experiment with toppings for added flavor!
