- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and green bell pepper, cooking until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Scoop portions of the Sloppy Joe mixture onto hamburger buns and serve hot.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat on low in a skillet, adding water if too thick.
