Description

A comforting dish combining tender sirloin steak with a rich, flavorful gravy, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 4-5 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the sirloin pieces and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for about 20 minutes.
  6. If desired, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry, stir it into the mixture, and cook for additional minutes until thickened.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Serve over mashed potatoes or rice to soak up the gravy. Can store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3 days or freeze for 2-3 months.
