Description

A delightful treat that harmonizes sweet and nutty flavors with the luxurious richness of chocolate, perfect for gatherings or satisfying a sweet tooth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth. Then, add the eggs and vanilla extract; stir until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. If you are using nuts, fold them into the batter along with the chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the bars to cool before cutting into squares for serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or drizzled with chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for 2-3 months.
