- Frosting:
- 1 cup butter
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 8-inch round cake pans.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time; stir in the milk, pink food coloring, and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually combine with the wet mixture.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat together the butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth; add pink food coloring to desired shade.
- Once cooled, frost one layer, stack the other on top, and frost the top and sides of the cake.
- Serve and enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea!
