Description

A delightful cake bursting with a lovely pink hue, adorned with edible butterflies, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Pink food coloring
  • Buttercream frosting
  • Edible butterfly decorations

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the milk, vanilla extract, and eggs, mixing well. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Add pink food coloring to achieve your desired shade.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and smooth the tops. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
  5. Frost with buttercream frosting and decorate with edible butterflies.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing. Adjust the pink food coloring to your preferred shade.
