- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened crushed pineapple (with juice)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Cream cheese frosting for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the crushed pineapple (with its juice), vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Top the cooled cake with cream cheese frosting.
- Cut the cake into squares and serve.
Notes
