Description

A delightful twist on traditional ice cream featuring a crispy, golden crust and sweet, juicy ripe peaches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of vanilla ice cream
  • 1 large peach, diced
  • 1 cup of cornflakes, crushed
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Oil for frying
  • Whipped cream and cherry for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Roll the ice cream into small balls and freeze until solid, about 120 minutes.
  2. Combine the crushed cornflakes, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Dip the frozen ice cream balls in flour, coat them in beaten egg, and roll them in the cornflake mixture.
  4. Heat the oil in a deep fryer over medium heat and fry the coated balls until golden brown, about 10-15 seconds.
  5. Remove the fried ice cream balls and drain them on paper towels. Serve immediately with diced peaches, whipped cream, and a cherry on top.

Notes

For best results, use very firm ice cream and fresh peaches. Fried ice cream is best enjoyed immediately.
