Description

Peach Crumble Bars are a sweet summer dessert combining juicy peaches with a crunchy, buttery crumble.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups sliced peaches
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent the bars from sticking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Toss them gently to coat and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and stir until crumbly.
  4. Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of the greased baking dish. Spread the peach mixture evenly over this crust. Finally, crumble the remaining oat mixture on top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  6. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

Best served at room temperature. Can be paired with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
