- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
Instructions
- Start by taking your unsalted butter out of the refrigerator. Let it soften at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter using an electric mixer on medium speed until it becomes creamy and pale.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed until well blended.
- Next, add the vanilla extract and heavy cream to the mixture. Increase mixer speed to high and blend until light and fluffy.
- Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
- Once made, use the frosting immediately or store it in the fridge for later.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Bring to room temperature before re-whipping if needed.
