Description

A delightful dish that combines the beloved flavors of cheeseburgers with the comfort of pasta. Quick and easy for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup pasta (elbow or rotini)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onions and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is no longer pink and the onions are soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain any excess grease from the pot.
  3. Add the pasta, beef broth, mustard, ketchup, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper into the pot. Stir well to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheese until it melts into a creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning if necessary, then serve hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of beef broth.
