- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Food coloring (green, brown, black)
- Fondant (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture alternately with milk. Mix until just combined. Divide batter and color it with food coloring.
- Pour the colored batter into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow cakes to cool completely.
- Assemble by stacking the layers with frosting and decorate with fondant to create a Minecraft motif.
Notes
Make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature for even mixing. Use gel food coloring for brighter colors. Store in an airtight container for up to three days.
