- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned.
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped onion over medium heat until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the tomato sauce, beef broth, and Italian seasoning to the skillet with the onions and bring it to a simmer.
- Once the meatballs are finished baking, transfer them to the skillet with the gravy and allow to simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes.
Notes
Use fresh herbs for the best flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
