Description

A fluffy and sweet marshmallow frosting that elevates cakes and desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and salt. Set over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Once the sugar mixture reaches a vigorous boil, gently drizzle it into the whipped egg whites while continuing to beat on high speed until stiff peaks form and the frosting cools slightly.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract and use immediately to frost cakes or cupcakes.

Notes

Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Re-whip before use for fluffiness.
