- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
- Edible flowers for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine flour, softened butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk, and salt in a bowl until a soft dough forms.
- Press the dough into a tart pan evenly and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Whisk together lemon juice, granulated sugar, eggs, and egg yolks in another bowl.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens (8-10 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in cubed butter until smooth.
- Pour the lemon curd into the baked tart shell and chill for about 2 hours until set.
- Decorate with edible flowers just before serving.
Notes
Store the tart in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add edible flowers before serving for best appearance.
