Description

A heartwarming dessert loaded with fresh apples and spices, perfect for gatherings or cozy weekend treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 cups peeled and chopped apples
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the oil and eggs until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples, nuts (if using), and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and spread it evenly. Bake for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
  7. Serve your Kentucky Apple Cake warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze for an extra touch. Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
