- 1 package puff pastry
- 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Let the puff pastry rest before rolling it out.
- Melt butter or olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent (3-5 minutes).
- Add chopped mushrooms, cooking until soft and moisture is released (5-7 minutes). Season with salt and pepper, then let cool.
- Mix sautéed mushrooms with cream cheese, Parmesan, and thyme in a bowl until well combined.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut into 3-inch squares, placing them in a greased mini muffin tin. Fill each with the mushroom mixture and brush edges with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Can be reheated in the oven.
