- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredient mixture and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded mounds of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space for spreading. Bake for about 10-12 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely before pairing them up and spreading your chosen filling between two cookies.
