Description

A delightful, sweet, and savory corn casserole with honey, perfect for family dinners or potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups corn kernels (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn kernels, milk, sour cream, honey, and melted butter. Stir until well blended for a smooth texture.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. If desired, fold in the shredded cheese.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and set.
  6. Allow the casserole to cool slightly before serving.
