Description

A vibrant and zesty condiment that transforms meals with its fresh, tangy flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 tomatillos, husked and rinsed
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 jalapeños, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Husk and rinse the tomatillos.
  2. Place the tomatillos on a baking sheet and roast for about 10-15 minutes until softened and slightly charred.
  3. Transfer the roasted tomatillos to a blender or food processor. Add onion, garlic, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice, and salt.
  4. Blend until smooth or to desired consistency. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
  5. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or store in the refrigerator.

Notes

Adjust salt and lime to taste. Remove seeds from jalapeños for milder salsa.
