Ingredients

- 12 tomatillos, husked and rinsed
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1–2 jalapeños, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Husk and rinse the tomatillos.
- Place the tomatillos on a baking sheet and roast for about 10-15 minutes until softened and slightly charred.
- Transfer the roasted tomatillos to a blender or food processor. Add onion, garlic, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice, and salt.
- Blend until smooth or to desired consistency. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips or store in the refrigerator.
Notes
Adjust salt and lime to taste. Remove seeds from jalapeños for milder salsa.
