A delightful dish that combines the best breakfast ingredients into one hearty meal, perfect for family gatherings and brunch.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices of bread, cubed
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: diced tomatoes or spinach

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer the cubed bread, cooked sausage, bell peppers, onions, and cheese.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until set and golden brown.

Notes

You can customize with different cheeses or vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
