Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • Nuts or seeds for topping (optional)
  • Cinnamon to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot, combine rolled oats and almond milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat and let simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the oats are cooked and creamy.
  3. Stir in chia seeds or flaxseeds to enhance the nutritional value and add a pleasant crunch.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Serve in bowls and top with sliced banana, berries, nuts or seeds, a drizzle of honey or maple syrup, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Enjoy!

Notes

These bowls can be served warm or at room temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk.
