Description
A creamy and zesty dip made from fresh avocados, perfect for snacks or as a condiment.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1–2 jalapeños, diced (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Add lime juice to the bowl to prevent browning. Mash the avocado with a fork or potato masher to your desired consistency.
- Add diced onion, tomatoes, jalapeños, salt, and cilantro if using.
- Stir gently until combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a condiment for other dishes.
Notes
To store leftover guacamole, transfer it to an airtight container, pressing plastic wrap directly onto the surface to limit exposure to air. Keeps for 1-2 days in the refrigerator.
