Description

Delightful and airy French macarons with crisp outer shells and chewy interiors, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar.
  3. Beat the egg whites until foamy, gradually adding the granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and food coloring, then gently fold in the almond flour mixture.
  5. Pipe the batter onto the prepared baking sheets, creating even circles, and let them rest for 30-60 minutes until shells form a skin.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, rotating the baking sheets halfway through, and allow to cool completely before filling.
