Description
Delightful fluffy brioche donuts filled with rich chocolate ganache, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 2 large eggs
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate ganache (for filling)
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture, milk, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 5-7 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick and cut into donut shapes. Let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C) and carefully fry the donuts until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Once cooled, use a piping bag to fill each donut with chocolate ganache.
