- 8 oz egg noodles
- 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, frozen peas, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Stir in the cooked noodles until fully mixed with the tuna mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and breadcrumbs (if using) on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider mixing some crushed crackers or cornflakes with the breadcrumbs for the topping.
