The ultimate comfort food, this Extra Cheesy Tuna Noodle Casserole combines creamy, cheesy, and savory flavors for a delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, frozen peas, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Stir in the cooked noodles until fully mixed with the tuna mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and breadcrumbs (if using) on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider mixing some crushed crackers or cornflakes with the breadcrumbs for the topping.
