- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons gelatin powder
- 3 tablespoons cold water
- Fresh berries (e.g., strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) for topping
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Stir in the vanilla extract once the mixture is smooth.
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- Once the cream mixture is warm, remove it from heat and whisk in the bloomed gelatin until completely dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into molds or cups and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
- To serve, run a knife around the edges of the panna cotta and invert onto a plate or serve in the cups.
- Top with fresh berries before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, substitute some heavy cream with whole milk or flavored creams. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
