Description
A colorful and fun cake that celebrates Easter with sweet, fruity flavors and a unique texture.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box of cake mix (any flavor)
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 box of Jello (any flavor, preferably Easter colors)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 container of whipped topping
- Sprinkles or festive decorations (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions, usually around 350°F.
- Combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil in a mixing bowl. Beat until smooth and uniform, then pour into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling for 15 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dissolve the Jello in 1 cup of boiling water, then add 1 cup of cold water. Once the cake is cooled, poke holes all over the top with a fork. Pour the Jello mixture evenly over the cake and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, spread whipped topping over the cake and add sprinkles or decorations as desired.
Notes
