Description

A colorful and fun cake that celebrates Easter with sweet, fruity flavors and a unique texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of cake mix (any flavor)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 box of Jello (any flavor, preferably Easter colors)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 container of whipped topping
  • Sprinkles or festive decorations (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions, usually around 350°F.
  2. Combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil in a mixing bowl. Beat until smooth and uniform, then pour into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling for 15 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Dissolve the Jello in 1 cup of boiling water, then add 1 cup of cold water. Once the cake is cooled, poke holes all over the top with a fork. Pour the Jello mixture evenly over the cake and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  5. Before serving, spread whipped topping over the cake and add sprinkles or decorations as desired.

Notes

For best results, refrigerate for at least 2 hours. The cake can be made a day in advance.
