Description
Indulge in these warm, gooey double chocolate chip cookies that are rich in flavor and melt-in-your-mouth soft.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend these dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until fully incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space between each mound. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
For thicker cookies, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Use quality chocolate chips for the best flavor!
