- 1.5 lbs beef (flank steak or sirloin), sliced thinly
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1/2 cup beef broth or water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, minced garlic, grated ginger, and beef broth until well combined.
- Place the thinly sliced beef in the crockpot and pour the sauce over the beef.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours until the beef is tender.
- Add the broccoli florets in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve over cooked rice and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the beef in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking. Adjust the sugar to your taste.
