Description

A creamy, chocolaty dip that’s healthy and indulgent, perfect for snacking or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Water as needed for consistency

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, cocoa powder, maple syrup, nut butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Blend the ingredients until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add water gradually until you reach the desired consistency.
  3. Taste the dip and adjust the sweetness if necessary. You can add more maple syrup or honey to suit your preference.
  4. Serve the chocolate hummus with an assortment of fruits, pretzels, or graham crackers for dipping.

Notes

Store any leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
