Description

A comforting dish that brings together tender chicken, vibrant broccoli, and creamy orzo in one delicious bowl, perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add the orzo pasta and chicken broth to the pot. Stir well and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes or until the orzo is al dente. Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender and brightly colored.
  4. Add the shredded chicken and heavy cream, stirring until everything is well combined. Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese if desired. Pairs nicely with crusty bread or a fresh green salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
