Description

A delightful fusion of tangy cranberries, sweet maple syrup, and refreshing orange zest, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in dried cranberries and orange zest.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream, maple syrup, and egg until combined.
  6. Pour wet ingredients into dry mixture and stir until just combined.
  7. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Pat into a 1-inch thick circle and cut into wedges.
