Description

A delightful blend of sweet and spicy, these tarts feature a flaky crust and creamy filling topped with melty cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of refrigerated pastry dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 12 jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pastry dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into small circles that fit into a mini muffin tin.
  3. Press the dough circles firmly into the muffin tin cavities.
  4. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cranberry sauce, jalapeños, green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
  5. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each pastry shell, filling them about three-quarters full.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each filled tart.
  7. Bake the tarts for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly in the pan.
  9. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired and serve warm.

Notes

These tarts can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving. They can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for up to a month.
