Description
A delightful twist on the traditional chocolate chip cookie, bringing a moist and chewy texture thanks to the addition of cottage cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the cottage cheese, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined and creamy.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix! Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased skillet and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Let the skillet cookie cool slightly before serving. This allows it to firm up a bit, making it easier to slice or serve straight from the skillet.
Notes
Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Perfect for sharing at gatherings.
