Description

A delightful twist on the traditional chocolate chip cookie, bringing a moist and chewy texture thanks to the addition of cottage cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the cottage cheese, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined and creamy.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix! Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased skillet and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  5. Let the skillet cookie cool slightly before serving. This allows it to firm up a bit, making it easier to slice or serve straight from the skillet.

Notes

Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Perfect for sharing at gatherings.
