Description
A giant, soft cookie that you can slice like a cake, adorned with chocolate chips and drizzled with icing.

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup icing for decorating (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixer bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until creamy.
- Add the vanilla extract followed by the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the center is set.
- Allow to cool in the pan before decorating with icing, if desired.
Notes
Serve warm with ice cream or enjoy with coffee. Store covered at room temperature for up to three days.
