- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or pecans)
- 1 cup dried cranberries or raisins
- 1/2 cup crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup M&M’s or similar candies
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another large bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, chopped nuts, dried cranberries, crushed pretzels, and M&M’s.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Use room temperature butter for best results and feel free to customize the mix-ins based on your preferences.
